Still Water Fishing

Everyone comes to Alaska for salmon fishing and they overlook the lake fishing.

Within 50 miles of the café there are over 80 lakes that are stocked by ADF&G that can be driven to, most lakes are drive to and but others may require a short hike.

Rainbows, Grayling, Dolly Varden Char, Arctic Char, Lake Trout, Burbot and Land Locked Salmon can be caught. Northern Pike is an invader species and you are encouraged to keep all you can hook.

These waters are untapped and in the summer you may see 1 other fisherman while you are there, maybe. More then likely you will be there alone and unhampered by other fishermen.
